Editorial/Description:Description: Elated with having Buffy back from the dead, her friends never wonder if she may have been in a better place. Only Spike knows the truth and as Buffy struggles to readjust to life, she begins a relationship with Spike that torments her as much as it brings her fleeting comfort. Yet even as Buffy fears that the magic that brought her back has somehow changed her, Willow's growing reliance on magic is an addiction she can barely control - and one that threatens everyone. Amazon.com: The sixth season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer followed the logic of plot and character development into some gloomy places. The year begins with Buffy being raised from the dead by the friends who miss her, but who fail to understand that a sacrifice taken back is a sacrifice negated. Dragged out of what she believes to have been heavenly bliss, she finds herself "going through the motions" and entering into a relationship with the evil, besotted vampire Spike just to force her emotions. Willow becomes ever more caught up in the temptations of magic; Xander and Anya move towards marriage without ever discussing their reservations; Giles feels he is standing in the way of Buffy's adult independence; Dawn feels neglected. What none of them need is a menace that is, at this point, simply annoying--three high school contemporaries who have turned their hand to magical and high-tech villainy. Added to this is a hungry ghost, an invisibility ray, an amnesia spell and a song-and-dance demon (who acts as rationale for the incomparable musical episode "Once More, with Feeling"). This is a year in which chickens come home to roost: everything from the villainy of the three geeks to Xander's doubts about marriage come to a head, often--as in the case of the impressive wedding episode--through wildly dark humor. The estrangement of the characters from each other--a well-observed portrait of what happens to college pals in their early 20s--comes to a shocking head with the death of a major character and that death's apocalyptic consequences. The series ends on a consoling note which it has, by that point and in spite of imperfections, entirely earned. --Roz Kaveney

That's the best season of Buffy! The slim set is very praticle and the extras are very god. There's nothing bad to write about it.
Buffy Is Still the Best

My friend loaned me the sixth season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer but the last dvd in it was scratched beyond repair. So, I just ordered the whole 6th season anew from Amazon and I got it in good time and it is just what I wanted. Thanks!
Season Six, Truly a great season.
February 26, 2010
Season Six was a truly unique season for Buffy and the gang as they go through the horrible and shockingly real problems we face when we go out on our own, into the world, and do the hardest thing of all. Live. (From Buffy season five finale episode) Many fans felt the season was too dark (Willows transformation, Spike and Buffy's relationship, Dawns probelms ect.) but it is only showing you that all these charactors from Xander to Buffy are human, and are ceseptable to the tempations and tuff decisons that we face throughout our lifetime. The First episode when the Willo Xander Anya and Tarra bring back Buffy is very well done and kicks off the series very strongly, its very gripping and really helps you connect with teh charactor Dawn (who me and many others found personally hard to relate with on certain levels) In this Episode you also get a glimpse of the real Love Spike had for buffy. In the following episodes may not be extremly "risky" or "exciting" but they show the slow healing process and you never want to turn that screen off. This season has some great episodes and charactors that will link with season seven, which is best watched after season six. Buffy's relationship with Spike may be considered demeaning or too dark for the show but i believe that all the charactors have flaws and make bad discisons and this only enforces that princepal. Their relationship may be considered many things but in the end it is Buffy finding solace. This season is also a growing experience for spike, because going through all that he realizes that he is not who he wants to be and goes off to get a soul after he tries to force himself on Buffy and she tells him "This is why i could never love you" In the episode Seeing Red when tarra dies is truely a sad moment for fans, you can really feel willows pain and sadness before she in turn becomes Dark Willow. As willow becomes more dangerous and almost distroys the world Giles and Xander both show their true colors. Their bravery adn compassion and love for willow. Xander's speach is touching and beutiful. All in all this season migth just be one of the best. They took risks. They took different paths and they all made mistakes and hit rock bottom in some way. The most important part is when they needed each other in the end, they were there for each other. They lived.
Why?

To be blunt I didn't exactly like this season, There were a lot of boring episodes, while Once More With Feeling was good I'm not one for musicals though, the Willow magical addiction was ok but not strong enough to save the season, Spike and Buffy really damned the season for me, Dark Willow was great as a Big Bad and Alyson Hannigan (I don't know if that's spelt right) did a great job. All around not my favorite season.
THIS SHOW IS SO BAD IT GETS ZERO STARS

The small group of fans of this show will admit this was the worst show in tv history. It was cancelled twice by not one but two networks. BAd bad acting and plots that are so stupid made it just awful. The show is now in the "was the actually a show called Buffy?" becasue no one remembers it or really liked it. only a small group of challenged people. save your money and avoid this
