Yaktrax's are unbeatable. They give the greatest traction in all icy conditions. I run a high mountain camp and have tried many ice traction devises. In icy conditions, CAUTION, is always the most important factor, no matter what the devise. In walking indoors all devises can be hazardous, it depends on the care you use while walking. My staff and I have used Yaktrax's for years. For inside staff, regular Yaktrax's are the best. They put them on to walk from their cabin or car to the office and pop them off once inside. For my outside staff, the Yaktrax Pro's can't be beat. They are rugged and don't ware out. The strap over the front of the boot keeps them in place in most situations. When coming inside it is best and easiest to slip the boots off and to step into indoor shoes. For long Life - take a little time - when putting "Trax's" on, make sure they slip into the grooves in the soles of the boots and if the end of a spring starts to catch, use a pair of pliers to squeeze it back into place. The Yaktrax Pro's I have on now have lasted me for three years and counting.

These are great! What I like best is that they are not sharp to the touch and they are not heavy to wear. Some types are sharp and I worry about hurting myself when taking them off, but these are great. I did notice a few times one would come off one foot, but I easily put them back on. I do agree that they should not be worn inside on a tile or slippery floor, you could fall down. The pros far outweigh the cons and it sure beats slipping and falling on your bum on the ice like I did before the Yaktrax!

This wonderful invention allows me to live in a cold climate and stay upright, mostly a problem on ice... and some types of snow. I have lived in warm climates my whole life and was very unfamiliar with freezing tempatures. I put these on and mostly defy ice/snowy conditions. My pair has lasted me three seasons and show no sign of wear. I have recommended these to dozens of people and will continue to do so. Under no circumstances can you or should you wear them inside on almost any type of indoor flooring. You will likely fall (nothing for them to grip onto) if you ignore this advice, trust me, I did while entering a Safeway. Also, they will scratch wood & laminate flooring (probably others as well). I love this product and encourage you to give them a try.

I wear my yaktrax when walking or running in the early morning. I've been able to get out more often since purchasing them because I'm no longer afraid of slipping on the ice and snow. I'll be healthier thanks to my yaktrax purchase.

does what it purports to do. I finally don't fall down the hill I live on when it's snowy and icy.
