A near-perfect box grater (and then some)
December 1, 2008
KitchenAid's Box Grater features three grating blades (fine, medium, and coarse) and a slicing blade perfect for hard cheeses (pecorino, parmigiano, etc.). But wait, there's more! Two other features make this the best deal going: a rubber nonskid bottom (remember chasing your old grater around the countertop?), and a 3-cup lidded storage container that fits inside the grater to catch your food and then store it. This alone is worth the price; I remember using cheaper graters of yore and having my food fall on the floor instead of into the bowl I'd put underneath. Plus, the grater is dishwasher-safe with a lifetime guarantee against defects. If you've been looking to replace your old box grater, this is the one to buy.
Finally!!

I love it when someone comes along and creates something with "practical" written all over it. After all my years of grating cheese onto wax paper or into bowls with half of it falling on the table, here comes Oxo with the built in bowl -- and a storage lid for leftovers no less!!! Awesome.
The best!

I love the fact that the container on the bottom hold all the gratings. It's a strong box grater too which I'm sure will be around for a very long time.

I love this grater. Each side has a different size grater on it, making it quite versatile, and the box that attaches underneath is very convenient. The box also comes with a lid to keep your unused grated substances fresh. The handle is soft and very comfortable to hold and both the bottom edges of the grater and of the measuring box are lined with rubber to prevent slipping.
This is a fantastic grater and you certainly can't beat the price. I would highly recommend this to everyone.
