Nice addition to the A-5
September 2, 2008
I have one of these on my A-5 and it's pretty handy. In tight quarters it's easy enough to collapse to make the marker shorter but still has enough there to tuck against your body. Sort of shootin' from the hip style.
Sure, it can interfere with the sights a bit if you don't have offsets...but then again...most paintball games are fast & furious. At least the ones I play, so getting a good bead on someone isn't all that likely anyway...
Still, it fit's great against the shoulder or body which can improve the handling. That's all good. Besides, it LOOKS cool. That IS reason enough to spend the money on this thing. ROFL What..? You bought an A-5 JUST because it's reliable & well made..? Hah! You got it because of all the cool things you can do to it. The fact that it's a GREAT marker is a bonus. You can't fool me! ;-) (I know that's the first thing I thought of: "Sure, it might work...but it looks so dang cool!")
So why 4 stars instead of 5? The first one I had (yep, the first one) had a flaw and it cracked. Actually it looked like an over tightened screw caused the problem. It was quickly replaced and I haven't had a problem since... But it does still make me pause once in a while. So I have no idea what sort of long term life it will have. Then again, it's relatively cheap and so as long as I don't have to replace it once a year or two I'll be very happy with it.
Get it, you know you want it! ;-)
A good stock
July 26, 2008
This is a good stock for the Tippman A-5, especially if you run a remote line or if your's is like mine a drop forward. If you plan on having your cannister anywhere but the original position on the A-5, then this stock is a must have. It can be a little tricky to squeeze into the back but just use some of the oil you use to clean it and it'll pop right in.
Because it's adjustable, anyone can find a comfortable position. I'm 6'3 and use it at it's longest setting while my nephew who's only 4 feet uses it at the shortest setting.
I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 because it does have a few disadvantages.
1. The stock will prevent you from using a scope or sight unless it is on an offset mount.
2. It is much trickier to remove than the regular cap so cleaning is a little harder.
3. It's heavy. Not very heavy, but when your a woodsballer every little bit counts, and this stock will just make your beastly A-5 even harder to lug around.
With that said I would recommend this stock to anyone.
Fantastic

Best stock. I tried several others, but this one did the trick !!! Good grip and also has a hook for a potential sling.
Piece of JUNK!

I recently put one on my A-5 and after one day of shooting the pin joints busted off the stock. I ordered another one off amazon and figuring my original one was a bunk stock and I recieved it today... I put it on, fired maybe 20 shots before the joints blew again!!! I even had my air turned down really low.
This thing looks good but its a waste of money.
Great quality, too high for sightline.

This collapsible stock is an excellent product when considering the quality and appearance. However, using the M4 stock on a paintball gun modeled after an H&K MP5 sub-machinegun does not work as the stock is too high for comfortable alignment of your eyes to the sights. If you can raise the line of sight with a red dot electronic sight or something of that nature then this accessory would be just fine. This stock does clear a 20 ounce tank.
