Rare perfect greatest hits albums

Journey at their best. Journey is much more enjoyable to listen to on a single disk compilation. There is a good mix of Classic Rock and Soft Rock songs to keep it interesting.
There are many greatest hits albums out there that will try to fit as many songs on the CD as possible and try to arrange the songs by year. Though I appreciate this with some artists there are some groups where some of their best material was early in their career and their creativity started to wain a bit which makes the last few tracks on most comps a little exhaustive. This collection avoids this problem because it is almost arranged like a concert where the rock songs and the soft songs are placed to compliment each other. All of the classic Journey songs that still get airplay years after they were first released are present. This reissue adds a bonus track from 1996 "When You Love A Woman" that became an instant classic and arguably the only good track from their "Trial By Fire" album.
Yes there are some fan favorites and minor hits missing like "Mother, Father" and "Stone In Love" but what is here is some quality hits and they play so well together it is easy to forgot what is missing and enjoy what is here. Perfect for any road trip and for most this IS the only Journey the casual fan needs to own.

Perry really has a voice second to noone. I recommend this to anyone with the class to realize the pure quality of the music.

This is a fine compilation of hits from a great band, and truly epitomizes the term "greatest hits". This collection is just that...hits. If you are a fan of Journey, you'll love it. If you've heard one song on this collection, chances are you've heard them all. And if you haven't heard them, one listen and you'll be hooked.

Very nice collection. I bought it for my 27 yr. old and I am 58 and really enjoyed it.

Journey is one of the greatest bands to ever come out of the Bay Area and Neil Shoan has the greatest licks in the world.
