Blue keyboard skin review
November 17, 2008
Small debris still manages to get under the skin, however, it does the main job of covering major dirt off the keyboard from your hands on the restpad or other sources. I had a slice of pineapple fall onto my keyboard, and the skin did a wonderful job of protecting the keyboard. I simply took the skin off and washed it. The only problem is when you wash it, I'm not sure on how to dry it properly. If you leave it to airdry, watermarks remain on the skin. Typing isn't difficult with the skin, but obviously it's not as smooth.

I love this product!! it keeps my keyboard SAFE AND CLEAN! no more stains on the wrist pad, no more dirty keys! This thing is a life saver! It actually feels nice to type on once you've had it for a while, even for an experienced typer, its just something to adapt/get used to! Not a big deal at all! I've had so many compliments on it, especially with the pink color! Throw a pink background on your computer and everyone notices! :) Great great great product! and fits PERFECTLY on my keyboard :)

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/RQD2EZYH7JZWS The Rasfox MacBook Keyboard Shield is awesome. It fits perfectly over the keys of the keyboard and keeps junk out of your keyboard. I love this thing.
UPDATE: Nov 5, 2008. Now that I've had this a couple weeks, I wanted to update my review by saying that it has taken longer than I had hoped to get used to the keyboard action with the Rasfox protector on. I get a lot of typos because the outer edges of each key remain sort of stiff when you are pressing the center of the key you are trying to hit. This feels weird under your fingers and really does slow you down. I'm not so sure it's really the "fault" of Rasfox since there really aren't too many options if you are trying to create a silicon cover for the keyboard and still expect people to type on it. In other words, I think this is just a limitation of -any- keyboard protector. I still feel this is a valuable product but it definitely messes with your typing speed and accuracy. As I said in the video, if you really want to type fast, just remove the protector. For less critical times, leave it on and know that your keyboard is being protected. I would not feel comfortable not having it on my keyboard now that I own one...but I do remove it from time to time so I can type more accurately.
Apt for the short term

This is a good product for the short term. Even though its a snug fit there are little gaps through which dust can enter. Hence it has to be cleaned regularly. The typing experience is ok but better when without it. It fits all the keys perfectly except the ENTER/RETURN key since its an L shape key. The manufacturer has to note this particular correction for the next release.
Considering all the above negatives it sure does protect your keyboard from liquid spillage. So I gave it a 4 since there is still area for improvement.
I bought this along with Speck 13" MacBook-Compatible See-Thru Hard Case, Aqua. The combination of both look great.
Great!

After a friend spilled chocolate milk on my beautiful Macbook and I had to totally replace the logic board (don't worry, my friend's insurance company paid) I decided it would be wise to buy this cover. I have been extremely satisfied with my purchase!
The cover does make typing a little awkward at first, but now that I'm used to it, typing feels weird without the cover! The unit also gets warm sometimes (especially when watching DVDs) but I just remove the it (and all liquids from the surrounding area) if the heat is becoming a problem.
Overall, an excellent buy!
