The Real Deal On This DVD Set

Anyone who reads my reviews knows that I don't write NON-reviews since I actually know this place is suppost to be for DVD REVIEWS & not a forum for people to complain about certain wrestlers, business decisions they don't like, post their dream PPV cards, and anything else that has absolutely NOTHING to do with the DVD set itself. However since there's a bunch of confusion in regards to what's going on with this set that I posted in comments & the discussion forms below months ago, this is probably the only exception I'll make.
This official word on this DVD set is that it's being aired as a WWE 24/7 On Demand special for the month of November to celebrate the 25th anniversary. A few months ago, WWE announced that on their website & even had a poll for the fans to pick out their favorite Starrcade matches to go on the special. If anyone can go to the WWE 24/7 section of their website & look in the Nov. description for what to expect & it should say this...
"The Essential Starrcade - Celebrate the 25th Anniversary of wrestling's original mega-event. The Essential Starrcade, presented as a 5-part series, counts down the Top 25 Matches in the history of the NWA/WCWs yearly spectacular. Relive the incredible action, featuring all-time great Superstars including Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Sting, Hulk Hogan, the Road Warriors and Eddie Guerrero."
Now this will also be released as a DVD in January like how they did with the "WrestleMania III: Championship Edition" DVD which was originally suppost to be a 24/7 special...hense why you still saw the WWE 24/7 logo in the presentation.
Hope this helps everyone confused by what's going on with this project at this moment...and since I actually have the 24/7 channel, I'll come back later & review what's actually on this special.
F U Vince!!!!!

This set has been cancelled by WWE. First Sting, then Randy Savage, and now this set. I give a big middle finger to Vince and the WWE. This is a slap in the face to wrestling fans. The set to replace it is Kane..KANE!? What the hell has Kane done since 2004? He's boring and stale. KANE!!!!!! WTF?!?!?!? This is bullcrap. I mean come on here is a set of dvd sets the WWE should release, not including the ones cancelled.
Batista? Ricky Steamboat? JBL-Yes, people hate this guy but he has a good story and some good matches. Randy Orton? Best of Tag Teams?
I mean holy cow, so much money to be made WWE. Quit screwing the fans that pay you billions for your products.
What is going on here?

As expected since there has been no promotion and not even artwork, WWE will now be releasing this set in November (just before Thanksgiving no doubt since this used to be Starrcade's big night).
Update info 9/23/08: Jim Ross just wrote on his blog that he recorded commentary for this release AND for the upcoming 24/7 special. Look for the DVD set not long after the special, probably in December or early next year.
