Customer Reviews:
A well played indie/semi-true story...
June 8, 2008
This title has been vastly overlooked since the artwork and cast are non-distinct so a quick review might help the question of why no one has watched this.
The entire film is obviously indie from start to finish (and when listening to the commentary it is a class in how to make a film with a very small budget), but the story of how the glow stick industry took off through accident (and in the movie by conspiring conglomerates) gives any aspiring entrepreneur a confidence boost when needed.
The cast adequately fits the task of conveying this comedy of errors and timing - even with Baldwin overdoing it in most scenes; the filmmakers had a good time of creating their message and were quite appreciative of the cast's performances - which makes for a summary of a small passion piece with a flair of local interest in the California segment.
Doug Hutchison fans (Green Mile, SVU, etc) should add this to their array of missed films to catch up on...
Entertaining and inspiring film
May 16, 2008
Moola is in every way as good a film as Juno. Its funny, intelligent, heartfelt, and inspiring. The cast is spot on and the direction excellent. I highly recommend this film for everyone's library.
