Editorial/Description:

Description: ZZ Top, the "little ol' band from Texas", has enjoyed enormous success on a global scale since their breakthrough in the early seventies and then their groundbreaking albums in the mid-eighties. Now for the first time one of ZZ Top's legendary live performances has been filmed for simultaneous release on DVD & Blu-ray. The track listing spans their career from early tracks such as "Waitin' For The Bus", "Just Got Paid" and the classic "La Grange", through their eighties blockbusters including "Gimme All Your Lovin'" and "Legs" (complete with furry guitars!) and up to more recent hits like "Pin Cushion". Filmed in their home state of Texas in front of a wildly enthusiastic audience, this DVD & Blu-ray captures ZZ Top at their very best.

ZZ Top   November 30, 2008
THIS IS A GREAT CONCERT DVD FOR THE ZZ TOP FAN. ALL THE HITS ARE THERE.

The boys have seen better days...   November 26, 2008
Excellent song selections for the DVD, but the music itself has none of the energy and excitement that ZZ Top used to bring to bear. The boys are old and they even move like they need something for their arthritis.

Live In Texas - Via Cell phone camera? (1 of 1 Found this Helpful)   November 25, 2008
I agree with those who say the vocals are muffled. I wished it sounded a bit better. It would also of been nice if more songs were included. LaGrange was long & drawn out and toward the last 2-3 minutes it didn't even sound like LaGrange.

I dislke the dead spots where they stop singing and let the audience sing. You couldn't even hear them.

Now that they are all 60 years old I wonder how much longer they'll continue.

And what's up with that lettuce bowl hat Billy has been wearing lately?

Good but could have been so much more...   November 22, 2008
ZZ Top is a great band.
The venue looks small enough that a great sounding disc could have been produced. However the sound has TONS of reverb. I don't know if this was in production or post but it was a huge mistake.
I also agree w/ others that there are far too many cuts. The editor must have been on speed. I literally could not count to 6 before a cut occurred anywhere I tried.

Fantastic   November 17, 2008
I have waited for a live ZZ Top DVD for decades. I love it.
