Why so many different storage formats?

This is the fourth camera storage format I've had to deal with. You'd think ISO could get in the act and standardize this mess.

Just tried this memory card yesterday. Holds significantly more pictures than the card that came with the camera. Bought M+ because I wanted a faster card than basic M.

it works great with my olympus 1030sw camera. Now I can make full size video recording for 18 minutes. You must update your camera first.

My new camera (Olympus 1030) came in time for our scheduled departure date for our sailing trip to San Diego. The pix I snapped of whales and dolphins and a hitchhiking dove were great! What a camera! What a picture card! What an ocean!
Love the capacity of the 2 GB card...
